Hi. I’m the person behind Greenish Aloe, and before we go any further, I need you to lower your expectations to a manageable level: this is not a zero-waste blog. This is a green-ish blog. There is a difference, and the difference is basically the entire point.
I live in Korea, I’m a newlywed, and somewhere along the way I became the kind of person who has genuine, documented opinions about whether a dish brush is REALLY plastic-free. I didn’t plan this. It just happened, the way most personality traits happen — gradually, and then all at once, over a sponge.
What this actually is
I review the plastic-free and eco-friendly swaps I bring into my own kitchen and my own life — the ones I buy with my own money, use however I happen to use them (no lab coat, no clipboard, no “testing methodology,” just a person in a kitchen), land somewhere around “good enough, honestly,” and then report back with more drama than the situation technically calls for, complaints included. Which, fine, is apparently my whole personality now. If something leaks, I will tell you. If something changed my life, I will also, unfortunately, tell you, at length.
I care about doing this the “right way” — right up until caring about it stops being fun, at which point I will absolutely throw a plastic bag in the trash and not think about it again. The guilt shows up sometimes. I notice it, I say something dramatic about it, and then I move on. That’s the whole system. It works for me.
What you will not find here: guilt-tripping, moralizing, or a life graded on a sustainability curve. What you will find: honest reviews, occasional crises over dish towels, and a husband who shows up in stories under a nickname because he did not sign up to be a character on the internet, but here we are.
